What is Birdman Science?

Influenced by a life-long fascination with birds and a concerted effort in researching such aspects as predation, niche occupation, nest building biology, inter-species interaction, temporal foraging habits, and structure and function; I launched BirdmanScience to facilitate more student interest in the craft of science.  I strive to incorporate "flipped classrooms" and authentic real-world scenarios into my courses whereby students deconstruct phenomena using data supported by real science, to give students the sort of field research experience drawing from my tenure as a wildlife biologist.  This educational ethos was adopted when I saw the unwavering success Paul Andersen found using it in Bozeman, Montana.
