This is an opportunity we havehe at Fairchild Wheeler to develop proposals in a competitive fashion for spots on the International Space Station (ISS). 23 Schools are competing in the process for 23 experiment positions in the mini-lab on the ISS. We have to develop 60 school-wide proposals at Wheeler in order to qualify for entry. A Fairchild Wheeler independent committee votes on the 3 finalists from the initial 60 proposals to be submitted to the national review committee (SSEP) in Maryland. SSEP then chooses the most original finalist who meets all the mission readiness criteria to be included on the mission come late spring 2017.
Please find the website below which has a great many resources as well as amazing examples of past experiments that went into space! Project Details: This site is the overview of the program and the criteria for entry:
Past Resources: This site is the community-based network (which is what Fairchild Wheeler would be with 60 committed proposals) where you can find previously excepted proposals and write-ups.
